RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Management:

1. Proactively engage with AE (Application Engineering) & IS (Integration Specialist) teams during pre-sales activities, including design reviews, customer meetings and demonstrations
2. Provide technical support for customers throughout all phases of the customer's development cycle Documentation:
3. Provide input to and review existing AIS (Advanced Integration Services) articles, sample source code, demos, etc.
4. Work with AE & IS teams to hone answers to common technical questions for inclusion in the internal knowledge base and/or the AIS (Advanced Integration Services) product materials

5. Provide quarterly mobile training to AEs focusing on the customer engagement process.
6. Continue to grow and learn about the mobile music application marketplace; participate in industry events as needed

7. Work with the Product Development team to define Mobile product release build configurations and the procedures for creating them
8. Implement and/or optimize systems and procedures to ensure timely and efficient workflow
9. Work with the Gracenote Validation Manager to more fully define the Mobile Validation Process; make consistent with other validation processes (PC, Web, Device, etc.).

10. PS core team rep and product specialist for Discover
11. Ensure accuracy of weekly reports detailing high-profile customers, key dates, project milestones, target ship dates, issues, etc.
12. Create quarterly report summarizing new & existing customer status (including integration issues & relevant feature requests)
13. Ensure all SOWs prepared, receive cross-functional sign-off & customer sign-off before beginning work. Track all customer project tasks in MS Project. Communicate final customer receipt/acceptance to Finance
14. Participate in the product specification process with Product Management (as appropriate) including documentation review/edits/sign-off
15. Communicate unique customer requirements and implementation details back to Product Management and Product Development teams
16. Identify, manage, communicate and escalate customer issues as appropriate
17. Support Sales & Legal departments by reviewing customer licenses and Gracenote contract schedules

18. Build and test mobile applications for delivery to customers
19. Guide customers in software design and product implementation
20. Ensure Gracenote features work as designed and meet customer requirements prior to delivery
21. Apply software development and testing methodologies to create mobile solutions with minimal supervision
22. Develop and transition test plans, test strategies, and test cases to Engineering and QA
23. Work with Gracenote engineers and customers (as needed) to improve the delivery process for Gracenote products
QUALIFICATIONS

* C/C++ skills and experience with leading mobile platform environments (i.e., J2ME, Symbian, Windows Mobile, Brew, etc.)
* Customer management experience
* In depth knowledge of mobile software application development and track record of developing and launching mobile applications that work in a client server environment.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Thorough knowledge of the software development life cycle.
* Ability to create, analyze and interpret requirement specifications.
* Ability to focus on priorities, solve complex problems and meet deadlines.
* Solid debugging and troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to work efficiently and with minimal supervision.
* B.S. Computer Science, B.S. Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. Telecom experience preferred.
* Good understanding of mobile architectures (i.e., CDMA, GSM, GPRS, EVDO, etc.)
* Must be enthusiastic about digital music products and services in addition to having a personal passion for music and the digital media industry. * Familiarity with codecs such as such as AMR, QCELP and audio capture on a mobile phone is a plus.
Must be, or become, an expert in communicating effectively and authoritatively in the areas of mobile phone systems and/or applications that enable the delivery/consumption of digital music and related content.
Experience with automated call routing/ billing and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems a plus.
This position will require minimal travel world-wide; not expected to exceed 10% of total time.
